Changing dynamics in the modern society has necessiated to have an overall view of the situation due to increase in the population of elderly people. The rise of newely identified diseases and problems arising from unhealthy life style have dictated the change in the nursing profession and elevated its importance. The future needs more nurses prepared to practice at different advanced levels in hospitals and in community health agencies, in nursing homes and in home health care. The curriculum has been structured to suit the requirements of current & futuristic needs of the constantly enhancing nursing profession.
